Hybrid Tractrix® Horn Technology
Klipsch's proprietary Tractrix® horn-loading technology ensures that the RP-402S surround speaker's high-frequency sound energy is directed to the listener, reducing unwanted, artificial vibrations from wall-bouncing sounds – so you hear the clearest, most detailed, lifelike sound.
HORN ANATOMY
Klipsch Reference Premiere series speakers feature a compression molded silicone surface mated to a 90° x 90° Tractrix horn for smoother frequency response. Klipsch computer-built phase plugs act as a mechanical filter to provide a smooth , flat frequency response while protecting the tweeter from damage.
VENTILATED TWEETER DESIGN
The new vented tweeter section reduces standing waves that create unwanted harmonics, resulting in improved detail and clarity in high frequency reproduction.
SERAMETALIK™ WOOFER
Klipsch Proprietary Cerametallic ™ woofers are the signature RP-402S for both sound and aesthetics. These extremely lightweight, rigid materials deliver lower frequencies with maximum efficiency.
WOOFER ANATOMY
Klipsch Cerametallic ™ cones are mated to a double-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity.
Reference Premiere woofers are housed in a non-resonant steel cabinet, fixed to a large magnet motor for exceptional efficiency and low distortion , and paired with our Horn tweeters for optimum acoustics.
WIDE DISTRIBUTION SURROUND TECHNOLOGY
The cornerstone of every Klipsch surround speaker, proprietary Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST) provides astonishing sonic detail for lifelike, cinematic sound in any room.
PREMIUM MATERIALS AND SURFACES
