Real Vacuum Tube

Equipped with portable device-friendly, dual-triode KORG Nutube for unmatched TUBE AMP sound.

Nutube offers a safe continuous playback time of approximately 30,000 hours. It has an anode grid filament structure that works in the same way as a triode vacuum tube. It is much smaller and consumes much less power . However, it offers the same sound as its predecessor, with rich tones.

HYBRID AMP MODE

Powered for the first time by a DAP (Digital Audio Player), HYBRID AMP mode reflects the essence of Astell&Kern's advanced AMP design technology.

The HYBRID AMP mode , which is a blend of OP AMP sound in addition to the delightful warm tones typical of TUBE AMP technology, will allow you to enjoy new combinations of sounds.

Mechanical Design that Minimizes Noise
Special Design to Minimize Microphonic Noise

The SP2000T has a special structure specially designed to minimize microphonic noise (the phenomenon that vacuum lamps generate noise from even a small external influence).

A lot of design trials and verifications have been carried out over a long period of time to correct the structural problems of vacuum lamps that produce microphonic noise from even a small impact or vibration.

To minimize mechanical shock and vibration, both sides of the vacuum lamp are fixed with flexible silicone caps and the vacuum lamp is modularized to be physically separate from the PCB (Circuit Board).

Astell&Kern puts a lot of effort into innovating and designing these tiny components that make a difference in the quality and sound of our products that no other manufacturer can match.

The structure, which allows the amplifier to float in the vacuum by using magnetic forces, minimizes the noise generated by the vacuum lamp when the music player is subjected to a mechanical shock or vibration.

Silver Plated Protective Armor

Astell&Kern products have protective shields to prevent acoustic noise and electromagnetic interference from affecting the sound block when countless parts are working at the same time.

SP2000T takes the protection philosophy required to achieve excellent audio performance one step further by redesigning existing shields with a highly conductive, dense pure silver coating.

The SP2000T is equipped with four ES9068AS DACs. This means allowing two DAC 's (Digital To Analog Converter) per channel for audio decoding/decoding. The SP2000T means it achieves a more detailed and balanced sound character combined with great depth and spatial realism .

ReplayGain Adjusts Playback Volume Automatically and Evenly

ReplayGain, which adjusts sound sources of different volumes to the same level, has been applied to this unique music player. Now, with the ReplayGain feature on the SP2000T, enjoy your own playlists knowing you'll have no issues with it.

AK File Drop to Enjoy Wireless Streams

The new “ AK File Drop ” feature on the SP2000T makes file transfers easier and more convenient. Using AK File Drop, you can freely transfer files wirelessly via a PC , smartphone or FTP program on the same network. Music file management is now possible with a wireless solution.

Wireless Hi-Fi Audio with BT Sink

The newly introduced BT Sink feature connects the SP2000T to an external device via Bluetooth , similar to connecting a smartphone to a BT speaker. Music from an external device such as a smartphone can now be played in high quality on the SP2000T using the BT Sink function.

Real-time Playback and AMP Mode Information Reflected by Light

Via a softly diffused LED light, users are informed of the bit depth information of the song being played or the current AMP mode.

* The LED light can be turned on or off in user settings and can be selected between audio source information display or AMP mode information display.

MQA

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that reproduces the sound of the original master recording.

Design

The radial pattern of the volume knob/wheel reflects the light falling on it, most fittingly representing the philosophy behind the Astell&Kern name. The additional protective surface has been modified again to distinguish the SP 2000T from other models.

The lines on the side expand outward as they run down from the wheel. Similar to the SP2000, the sharp edges extend towards the rear panel, emphasizing the connection between the two models.

The proportions of the obverse have been readjusted to accommodate the larger form, and all of the CMF (Color, Materials and Finish) has been carefully selected to set the SP2000T apart from its predecessor, the SP2000.

To reinforce the idea that light illuminates space, we combined the image of the amp's light filling the empty space of the vacuum lamp with Astell&Kern's concept of light and shadow.

The shield surrounding the volume knob/wheel provides an ambient image created from light.

Although the glass on the back surface is one piece, it looks like two separate pieces. The border of both parts is designed to look harmonious with the wheel guard.

Instead of evoking the feeling of glass associated with coldness, the bottom part has been redesigned to express warmth. The top has an elegant, sparkly design that comes to life when the amp is turned on.
