Astell&Kern A&Futura SE200 Hi-Fi Music Player 256 GB
The SE200 is the second model in the Astell&Kern A&futura line of premium Digital Audio Players.
After the first SE100 model, we once again thought about the nature of the word premium and asked ourselves:
“What is the value of premium in Hi-Fi and how can we express it with a product?”
We decided to "make a device that no one can copy".
We wanted to try something that no one had tried before, including Astell&Kern. The result is the SE200.
Equipped with the world's first Multi DAC (1x AK4499EQ + 2x ES9068AS).
It has independent AMP structure designed to complement the features of each DAC and DAC Filters to create your own sound.
The World's First Multi-DAC DAP
A&futura SE200 is the world's first Multi DAC player.
Since the launch of the Dual DAC AK120 player in 2013, we haven't seen a product with more products than the Dual DAC in the last seven years.
This is “Why aren't there more than two DACs in one player?” It made us ask the question.
So we set out to be the first manufacturer to use more than two DACs, and the result is the SE200.
The SE200 offers ESS's latest audiophile DACs, the ES9068AS, in a Dual DAC configuration. Then we added a single AK4499EQ, AKM's flagship DAC used in our flagship SP2000. By combining three DACs, we produced the world's first multi-DAC DAP.
This pairing showcases the philosophy of the A&futura series to pursue a fundamentally different sound than that found in typical DAPs.
To properly implement multiple DACs, we had to spend twice as much time developing and twice as much time tuning the player properly.
Astell&Kern is not content with keeping everything the same all the time. We are constantly working to improve what we have achieved to bring the most accurately reproduced and best sound to our products.
Standalone AMP Sections Designed to Comply with DAC Specifications
The SE200 is not designed with a single AMP circuit, but with multiple, different AMP designs to optimize different features.
By separating the signals for each channel with Balanced and Unbalanced, we have designed independent circuits that do not interfere with each other to provide the best possible sound.

The SE200 goes beyond choosing the best DAC for the genre. You can now further customize your voice by making your choice. With the SE200 you can now choose your preferred sound profile, thanks to the various DAC filters provided by the DAC manufacturer.
